The Royal Albert Dock will be a vibrant waterfront hub to live, work and play – sustainably enhancing local heritage assets and culture while providing green space and ensuring wider connectivity.

Indicative Plans
Provide a continuation of use for the docks area by maintaining its status as an employment hub for London.
Provide mixed tenure and sustainable housing for the community - of which at least 50% will be affordable in line with Newham Mayor's manifesto.
Maintain and enhance local heritage assets by making them more accessible to the local community and tourists.
Protect and enhance the biodiversity of the area, fostering green space within the site.
Site Outline
The site outlined in red (as seen to the right) represents the development area that has been identified by RAD (Royal Albert Docks) Team. The thin site extends between the ExCel center in the west and the University of East London on the eastern side. Our vision and design objectives as stated above relate specifically to this site.
