RAD Rationale

As it stands, the RAD suffers low vitality through its lack of use. This need not be the case; there are multiple spaces available in which meanwhile uses can be installed. Namely, the empty units along Royal Albert Quay, Mandarin Street, Lascars Avenue and Silver Quay can be efficiently occupied by social enterprises and budding small businesses. By doing so, vitality can be invigorated and community supported. Meanwhile, a benchmark for mixed uses is set on the site; the same buildings will house other uses on the floors above.
